The 2019 Honda Insight is Coming Soon!
At Longueuil Honda, located on the South Shore near Montreal, we can predict the future… and what we can see right now is the success of the 2019 Honda Insight, this compact and luxurious hybrid car that’s as easy to drive as it is on the eyes. In other words, there is no need to sacrifice the style in order to get an efficient, green car!
The 2019 Insight is Honda’s third electrical vehicle, following the Clarity and a version of the 2018 Accord, and it should arrive at your favorite dealer sometimes this summer. But we already know that the Insight is exceptional: presented for the first time at the Vancouver Auto Show in March of this year, this car seduced the public with its high-end appearance and its spectacular efficiency.
Powertrain
The 2019 Insight comes with a 2-engine powertrain of third generation. The total power of this system is approximately 150 horsepower. The vehicle has 3 driving modes that allow for a customizable experience: normal, eco and sport. Depending on the road conditions, the driver can also choose between 3 levels of performance from the button on the wheels, which range from braking to recuperation.
On top of this impressive powertrain comes a 5-star NCAP Global Vehicle Safety Grade. The 2019 Insight also got “good” or “superior” ratings from the IIHS safety choices, which should reassure every driver!
Design and Features
The sophisticated design of this sedan starts with a low and wide wheelbase. That and the spacious cabin allow the 2019 Insight’s passengers to enjoy the best legroom of its category. The cargo space in the trunk is not negligible either with its 427 liters that have nothing to envy to regular intermediary sedans. The fact that the lithium ion hybrid battery is placed under the backseats is also a factor that maximizes the cabin space, whether the seats are folded or not.
In terms of design, the 2019 Insight is basically a tenth-generation Honda Civic. However, its aluminium hood is unique, makes the car lighter and contributes to keep the cabin quiet. The independent suspension system is designed to offer a relaxed and refined driving experience, while the brake servo system will provide you with a very fast stopping time.
All you have to do now is head to Longueuil Honda, located on the South Shore near Montreal, to test both versions of the 2019 Insight and to choose your favorite. Whether it’s the well-equipped Hybrid or the high-end Touring, we know that there is an Insight for you!
